business in the long term.

This can be a game-changer for entrepreneurs who are failing to win over clients and customers.

If you want to earn more business deals, more energy, and more opportunities, very few things can win over a good attitude.

Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs, who are super talented, often forget to on this area in their business practice.

The Primary Reason Why Entrepreneurs Fail

Entrepreneurs often fall into these traps:

They let a negative attitude damage their relationships with partners, which damages trust and confidence in the long run.

They let negativity spread through their team, which results in lower morale and productivity.

They miss out on opportunities to connect with other successful entrepreneurs in their network due to poor attitudes.

They underestimate the importance of good behavior in keeping their businesses thriving in the long term.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Any entrepreneur can overcome an attitude problem. And I'm going to share with you exactly how you can do it. And here are 3 ways to start:

1) Foster Agreement

Improvement starts with understanding the power of agreement.

Agreements are crucial in business because there is no business when two people disagree.

Agreeing with the other person doesn’t mean they’re right. It means that you acknowledge their point of view and let the conversation continues to flow.

Instead of immediately disagreeing, agree first, then share your own point of view and give reasons behind it.

Agreements create collaboration, which is essential for developing long-term business relationships between you and other people.

3) Find Common Ground

Another mistake entrepreneurs make is being combative in the deal.

In business, success comes from collaboration.

You're running a business and earning trust, not fighting battles.

Find common ground with others and start from there.

Practice agreement helps you see things from a different angle and lead to more contracts being signed.

3) Become The Greatest Attitude Person In The Deal

Finally, remember to be at your best attitude when doing business.

Warren Buffett used to say, "You cannot find a great deal with a bad person."

I would say: "You cannot find a great deal with a bad attitude."

What is the better deal in the long term?

Working with people who have a great attitude.

Working with people who have a bad attitude.

To work with the first group, you have to be the person who acts first - like attracts like.

Stop being hostile and fighting for everything.

Start collaborating with people on your team, clients, and customers.

You can start today by cultivating a greater attitude, which is crucial to your success in business.

I hope you find as much value here as it has been helping me and other entrepreneurs who are looking to make positive changes in the world.

Be great!

If you enjoy reading this, consider subscribing to my newsletter. successful.

However, this is not the case.

If you're an entrepreneur who has just started in business and needs inspiration for selling, this letter is for you. Likewise, if you're a business owner whose sales engine has dried up, this letter is for you.

There has been a misconception about building a perfect product to start selling.

In reality, you don't necessarily need an existing product to sell something.

People paid money for the first iPhone six months before it was shipped, and others signed up for books years before they were published.

Let's go back to the basics of selling and understand its fundamentals.

Selling Belongs To Human Innate Activity

"In the world of business and selling, the most valuable commodity is the relationship, not the product or service." - Dan Kennedy

If you can speak or write, you can sell.

Selling is the act of exchanging your own goods with other people. People will pay money for your goods if they perceive the value to be higher than the price and time they are willing to spend.

How you communicate the value to the person helps facilitate the transaction. The better you communicate the perceived value to the other person, the more likely you are to make the sale.

To survive, you must get good at selling. Relying solely on producing everything and living for yourself - food, housing, and transportation - is not feasible.

To enhance your well-being, you must actively promote and exchange your goods and services with other people.

Everything You Can Sell

You've been selling since the day you were born.

As a child, you sold your attention to your parents. You needed the attention and care of older people to survive.

As you grew older and acquired more skills, you began selling your skills to others in exchange for recognition, meaning, and, often, money. The better skills you are, the more difficult to be replaced, and the more you get paid.

If you're an entrepreneur, you're selling your ideas and unique perspectives on your products and services that serve other people.

Whenever you interact with a person, you engage in an exchange of selling:

Ideas

Beliefs

Volunteers

Products

Services

Time

Selling doesn’t need the involvement of money, but it require the exchange of value.

For example, you share with your best friend an idea and some tips to help them pass an exam in exchange for a “thank you”. Once they pass the exam, they will appreciate you more and trust you more on your advice.

Alternatively, you might sell a tutoring service to students in exchange for payment to help them pass their finals.

If you’re reading this far, you’ve given me your valuable time in exchange for some useful information. Very thankful!

Becoming a Great Salesman

"The best salespeople know that their expertise can become their enemy in selling." - Grant Cardone

People hate being sold.

It never feels good to be forced to buy into an idea and a product. Therefore, as a great salesman, you must learn how to sell without being “salesy”.

Selling just for the sake of selling is not enough. There has to be a higher purpose and reason behind the selling to make it natural.

A great salesman is a student of human psychology. They understand the driving force behind an individual decision to buy a specific product.

For instance, if someone buys a Tylenol pill, they must be in pain, which can lead to feelings of irritation, anxiety, and unhappiness. A great salesman understands the emotions behind a person's motivation and constructs an offer that gets them to act upon those motivations.

A great salesman never forces people to buy his ideas.

Instead, he presents a great offer that speaks to the solution to the other person's problems and lets the person decide for themselves.

Everyone knows selling goods and services in exchange for money isn’t always perfect, but the great salesman makes it always seems fair.

A skilled salesman can make buyers feel that they are being treated fairly after the sale has been made.

The Psychology of Selling

Selling is 99% homework and 1% sales.

Just like the old advice, "You should never judge a man until you walk a mile in his shoes," understanding other people's problems, wishes, dreams, and desires is key to successfully selling your products and services.

If you do your homework and understand your people, the sale naturally performs itself.

A great salesman is a student of the people he serves. He does lots of homework by studying people and mastering the information he gathers.

Here is a list of questions that a great salesman should have the answers to before talking to customers:

What are the customers' DREAMS?

What are the customers' DESIRES?

What are their FEAR?

What keeps them AWAKE at night?

What causes them ANGER?

What makes them FRUSTRATED about their life?

What RESULTS are they looking to achieve right now?

If you're selling a product, either digital or physical, try to come up with five answers for each of these questions.

Doing so will help you improve your sales process and gain insight into the customer's mind.

This, in turn, will enable you to empathize with and motivate customers to buy from you.

The Process of Selling

Unlike art, selling is a process that requires discipline.

The better the process, the less likely you are to annoy people and push them away from you.

A great sales process makes you appear fully professional and courteous, and customers won't even realize they're being sold to.

The sales process involves guiding people through your service and product pipeline:

Customers are greeted and offered value upfront, and sometimes for FREE.

Customers choose to learn more about your business while you’re offering additional value (by acknowledging their problems, presenting your solution, show testimonials, etc.)

Along the way, you present an offer to have them buy your product.

You close the deal, and they become your official customers.

The sales process applies to all different mediums, whether you are talking to people, writing a sales letter, writing articles, or doing a presentation.

If you master one medium, you can make a lot of money. If you master multiple mediums, you can create wealth for yourself.

The Power of Selling

Selling is a life skill that can keep you from ever going broke.

Your success in selling depends on your ability to offer value and communicate the value you can deliver to others.

Selling is not just about monetary transactions; it's also about the value exchange between you and other human beings over time.

There is no end game in selling, not even when you close the deal. You only get better at it the more you sell your goods and services.

Learn to sell and be a student of the people you serve; you will never look back.

In Summary

Selling is a fundamental human activity that doesn't require a product.

Selling is a life skill that requires the ability to offer and communicate value to others.

A great salesman understands human psychology and the emotions behind a person's motivation to buy a specific product. They then offer their service that can meet the customers’ expectations.

Homework and discipline are key to a successful sales process, which involves guiding people through your service and product pipeline.

If you enjoy reading this article, consider subscribing to my newsletter. wealth from Oxford is “having an abundance valuable possessions or money”.

But I’ve seen many people who make 6, 7, and 8 figures and beyond either quit, go back to zero, feel sorry for themselves and are still unhappy.

Looking back again at the definition, I discovered one thing.

The word that stood out for me, and probably for many readers, was “abundance”, "money", and “possessions.”

I went on to look up the definition of wealth again from a different source. This time, Merriam-Webster - “the meaning of wealth is the abundance of valuable material possessions or resources.”

The second definition opened up my mind.

The word money is being replaced by resources, and I think that resources are the ultimate key for anyone who wants to build wealth.

Studying wealth and wealthy people

Reading all textbooks on science, math, technology, and business does not guarantee wealth.

In order to study wealth, you must study from wealthy people.

Study what they did in the past.

Study what they did on the way up to building wealth.

If you're lucky, get direct experience from hanging out with them and talking to them.

You can do these things by reading autobiographies, watching video recordings, or gaining direct experience from hanging out with wealthy people.

One mistake people make when studying wealthy people is focusing solely on what they do now that they are already wealthy.

Instead, you should study their materials from when they were on their way up.

Study the mistakes they made, the major decisions they took, their daily habits, and you can gain valuable insights into how they got their wealth.

Understanding Money

Let’s start with the topic of money - it’s useful to understand money thoroughly because it’s one of the primary objects that you interact with on the way to build wealth.

Let’s dive into economics and understand the principles of money.

Money existed in the following forms:

As a medium of transaction: people use money to exchange goods and services

As wealth storage: people store money to justify wealth.

As a unit of measurement: It is much easier to measure 1 dollar against 100 dollars than it is to measure 1 apple against 1 car.

Of the 3 forms, the most important is the first one - money is only useful when it’s being used.

If you keep your money stored, it will become worthless.

$1,000 can buy you an iPhone today, but it may not be enough to buy your kids groceries 100 years from now due to inflation.

That means saving your last penny isn’t going to make you wealthy.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" are completely different things.

Society blurs the lines between the two, but let me draw a distinction from here.

Making money refers to spending your time and skills in exchange for wages.

Building wealth, however, requires shifting your perspective away from trading your time earning money, and towards leveraging resources to build assets in your life and businesses.

These assets often worth more than money - like businesses, robots, and real estates.

Being wealthy means a lot more than just making $1 million a year in income, even though that’s a lot of accomplishment for many people.

Being wealthy also refers to the quality of your health, relationships, networks, personal well-being, and many other factors.

Hustling for that next paycheck can make you feel accomplished, but does it contribute to your wealth if you sell cocaine? Or if you're earning $1 million with a body full of health issues, would that be an addition to your wealth?

In order to understand wealth creation, we will step aside from the hustling mindset and step into the billion-dollar mindset.

We will assign the billionaire group as wealthy individuals (feel free to prove me wrong).

There are around 2,640 billionaires in this world.

If you’re in this group, you’re in the top 0.0000334% of the world population.

There must be something that these billionaires do that 99.99% others don’t do.

And one of the clearest things they do is that they understand leverage.

Doing business or Owning a Business

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, earned a salary of $3 million in 2022. Warren Buffett, the 3rd largest shareholder, earned $832 million from Apple's dividends without doing anything for the whole year (dividend: a distribution, or passive income, from owning a stake in a business).

Simply put, billionaires like Warren Buffett don’t focus on running businesses like CEOs but on owning the businesses that work for them.

It's the ownership of resources that matters most.

When you own a business, you own the resources that the entity possesses. The building, labor force, office desks, kitchen, deals flow, contracts, and many others.

You make major decisions about what to do.

You attract other talents and capital in the market.

These things allow you to build other businesses and create wealth much faster.

My College Boss Who Ran The Show

Like many of us, I’ve been involved in a lot of random businesses.

I’ve got to work for many great bosses and great workplaces throughout my career.

I've tutored thousands of students across the world.

I’ve done business with many entrepreneurs and exchanged a lot of values with them.

For instance, during my time as a tutor in college, I was part of a leverage system.

My supervisor employed over 50 tutors, including myself, to help thousands of students across campuses.

Fun fact: she couldn't tutor any college courses, but she was great at hiring great tutors and running a successful tutoring program.

She has full control and ownership of the program.

The key to creating wealth surprised me when I realized the value of owning a business system.

Consider this: if you're working at a job – essentially, you're trading your time for money.

Now flip the script.

Instead of trading your time working for a business, you own the business, spend less time working, and have it generating results for you.

How unfair?

This means giving up on being a one-man show and being the owner of the resources available (people, money, systems, etc.).

4 Different Leverages To Build Wealth

Leverages exist in 4 different forms.

Labor: Historically, the first form of leverage was used by kings and emperors during times like the Roman Empire and Chinese dynasties. The kings and queens leveraged labor forces, where workers performed assigned tasks, thus generating wealth for the kingdom.

Capital: Introduced as a new form of leverage during the Industrial Revolution. Business magnates, such as the Rockefellers, Warren Buffett, and Charlie Munger, leveraged capital and other people's money to build wealth. Their skilled allocation of capital also facilitated wealth creation for others.

Technology: An emerging form of leverage in the internet era, with code and media as the primary components. The backend code, once set up, can generate returns repeatedly without incurring additional costs. Bill Gates' creation of Microsoft Windows is a prime example of leveraging code to create immense wealth.

Media: The face of code. Media is a powerful form of leverage in the digital age. People like Joe Rogan, Mr. Beast, and the Kardashians have exploited their media influence to generate significant wealth.

One person who’s leveraging these 4 tools supremely well is Elon Musk, one of the most innovative businessmen on Earth.

Labor: Elon surrounds himself with other exceptional skills and talents to build Space X and Tesla.

Capital: Elon has raised all money from the US government, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, and many billion dollars in institutions to build his dream. You may not pick up his phone call, but all banks do.

Technology: Tesla factories across the world are 75 percent automated.

Media: Elon owns Twitter, on Twitter, and has the most followers on Twitter, and he’s doing much major news frequently throughout the year to promote his brand and businesses.

You can argue that it’s a stressful life to live but consider the wealth the person is creating for himself and other people in his inner circle.

Artificial Intelligence - The 5th Leverage in Future Wealth Creation

As for what the future holds, artificial intelligence is the next wave of leverage, or it may have already arrived, and business people have figured it out.

That means two things:

It means you have the option to capitalize on the technology to build wealth for yourself.

Wealthy individuals will use AI as a fifth leveraging tool for themselves. They’ll take everything at their disposal to build the wealth they want.

The more leverages you learn to use, the more you are better off.

In essence, wealth creation is a combination of skill acquisition.

You acquire skills in working with people, capital, technology, and perhaps artificial intelligence.

Leverage everything that you can use to multiply your outputs, and you will slowly accumulate wealth around you.

Key Takeaways

Wealth is More Than Money: Wealth isn't just about having lots of money. It's about having invaluable resources and knowing how to use them. It also means having good health, strong relationships, and a good life.

Learn from wealthy people: If you want to be wealthy, at least learn from people who are wealthy. Focus on what they did to become wealthy, not just what they do now.

Owning vs Running a Business: It's better to own a business than to run one. As an owner, you control all the resources and can make them work for you.

4 Ways to Build Wealth: There are four main ways to build wealth: by getting other people to work for you (labor), using other people's money (capital), using technology, and using the media.

<div class="subscription-widget-wrap-editor" way.

It may seem like you have the freedom to operate, but this is not a way to reach your full potential.

Your true potential lies far beyond what you can realize.

You don't get to see your potential unless you paint an obscure picture and work your way backward to the present.

When I first came to the US as a 10th-grade high school student, I spoke very limited English and could barely write anything.

However, as I was exposed to the English-speaking environment, I began to see improvement.

It wasn't until my senior year of college, however, that I made significant progress in my performance in the second language.

At that time, I began tracking my language-related activities, including hours spent reading, writing, and speaking with professionals each day.

By doing so, my results skyrocketed. I felt more confident taking on more projects.

If I were to tell you that my second language is now better than my mother tongue, you might not believe me, but it's true.

If you compare the things that you're doing right now with the things you're supposed to do, you'll find that most of what you're doing isn't helping you reach your potential.

Learn to set goals and targets, and start tracking everything that you’re doing.

Your progress tells you if you’re progressing or not.

You can start a tracking system with just a pen and paper, but you must consistently monitor and update it.

Winning happens when you start tracking your work.

At work, track your production and output every single day to know if you're making progress.

If you're a salesperson, track your calls and conversions and all of your activity to see if you've taken enough action to make a difference.

If you’re a CEO, track key performance indicators so that you can influence the results.

It’s not just in the doing but also in the tracking.

Think. Do. Track. Repeat.

This is how you improve your performance.

Here are some essential rules to remember. These rules are applicable to anyone from students to employees, business owners, and investors:

If you cannot plan it, you cannot do it: Many people neglect to plan the steps they need to take, making it difficult to track their performance and results.

If you cannot track it, you cannot improve it: Without statistics and numbers to provide you with information, how can you increase or multiply your output? I'm not talking about calculus but simple arithmetic. You must have a place where your activity and output are saved over an extended period so that you can develop strategies to improve them.

If you don't cross it off, you haven't done it: Learn to cross things off and move on. I've seen so many people get stuck with one thing for months, such as tax planning, and never seem to get over it. Learn to cross things off before they overwhelm you in life.

Here's an activity you can do to 10X your growth this year.

Think of five main things you've done frequently in the past year, either at work or at home.

Get a piece of paper, or open a spreadsheet

For each thing on the list, record the activity as well as the outputs from that activity.

For instance, writing is an important activity in my work, so I monitor my writing progress daily.

Last year, I averaged around 1000 words per day and 7000 words per week.

Thanks to my records from the past year, I aim to increase my output to 3000 words per day and 21,000 words per week this year.

Without tracking my progress and output over the past year, I would not have been able to raise my output this much.

Tracking your activities and output is essential to forming good habits.

By establishing tracking habits yourself, you will see a massive change.

Remember, you can't track everything in life, so focus on things you can control that influence your performance and outcome.

If you're a salesperson, prioritize the number of contacts you reach out to each day.

If you're a company's CEO, prioritize the top 3-5 key performance indicators that influence the organization's outcomes.

If you're an athlete, prioritize your training and nutrition.

If you're a writer, prioritize your daily writing output.

If you're a musician, prioritize your daily practice sessions.

The more you track your progress, the more likely you are to reach your full potential and achieve your goals.

Join other readers to get more winning strategies and mindsets for the future of work.

The Ignored Element That Costs Your Business Financially

Business is an act of engaging in commerce, and when you do business, you're interacting with human beings. people's incentives and learning to work with them open the way for successful business transactions.

For instance, when a customer visits your gym, their incentives might include getting healthier, fitter, or improving their appearance, among others.

Your package offer must cater to the incentives of your customer.

By tailoring your monthly subscription to incentives could be earning money, growing their career, or gaining leadership experience, to name a few.

To find people who work well with you, it's essential to understand their incentives and create a supportive environment that keeps them motivated while aligning with the company's goals.

If you can wrap your head around incentives, you can unlock the door to more successful exactly what's going to happen, and things can go off plan.

With uncertainty, things often result in chaos, and it's easy to get caught up in the fear and anxiety that comes with it.

However, those who are able to embrace uncertainty and master chaos possess a huge advantage when it comes to accomplishing the goals they want.

Facing the Challenges

The first step to mastering chaos is facing the challenges that come with it.

There are many problems that people face when it comes to chaos and uncertainty.

A lack of control is a common challenge.

Chaos can cause negative feelings such as fear, anxiety, and panic, which can force people to shy away from the challenge.

However, it's important to recognize that these behavior are natural human reactions to threats, and there are ways to overcome them.

You can learn to overcome challenges by observing successful people who thrive under chaos. These people are resilient by nature and often won't give up until they get what they want.

Individuals who have overcome chaos in their fields also possess a track record and a formula that allows them to do it again and again.

For example, consider Thomas Edison, who faced 1000+ failures before finally inventing the lightbulb. Or think about Warren Buffett, who has navigated 10+ economic recessions over 60+ years of investing and emerged as one of the greatest investors of all time.

By studying the mindset and strategies of these successful people, you can overcome your personal challenges and succeed in the uncertain world.

Activity Under High-Pressure

Being able to act with composure under chaos is a skill.

One can gain this skill by exposing themselves to high-pressure routines where people and objects move very quickly and in obscure directions.

People who compete in team sports understand this very well since they have to prepare for a lot of unknowns in a real game.

To prepare for unknowns, athletes often pay attention to the following components:

The physical component: the coaches, other team players, and teammates

The mental component: mental calmness, intelligence, and self-talk

The moral component: ethics, values, and principles

The athletic component: stamina, strength, flexibility

Those are just the main ones, but there are more components that cannot be covered in timely preparation and practice.

Activity under high-pressure forces individuals to make quick decisions to accomplish goals. They also receive rapid feedback and data to improve or change their approach accordingly.

High-pressure training routines, feedback, and improvement are essential to help one handle chaotic situation falling apart.

Spotting Opportunities

Opportunity is an open gap that allows individuals to take action and move toward their goals.

In chaos, there present bigger opportunities because everyone is so busy. Mastering chaos can help individuals identify opportunities in these moments of frenzy.

When individuals can think and act with equanimity in chaotic situations, they see the chances that others miss. This gives them a chance to take control of the final outcome, like a person who calls the shots.

For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the world locked down, many businesses were forced to shut down.

However, some businesses, such as Zoom, were able to thrive and seized opportunities to expand and serve their customers, leading to even greater success.

Mastering Chaos

So, how do you master chaos?

First, get extremely opportunistic. If you look at people who overcame chaotic circumstances, the more they get out of it, the more they become opportunistic, which prepares them very well for the next event.

Instead of focusing on the gloomy aspects of the situation, be extremely opportunistic and try to find the silver lining.

Second, be willing to adapt.

When things don't go as planned, it's important to be able to adapt to the situation and come up with a new plan, new strategy, and new decision.

Third, be proactive. Don't wait for chaos to strike; instead, anticipate it and prepare for it. Prepare yourself mentally, physically, morally, and athletically.

In sports, they have a saying, “If you train well, you play well”.

Outside of sports, you can prepare for chaos by learning, training, and improving yourself on relevant skill sets.

When everyone goes crazy, you can stay calm and seize the opportunity from your learned skills and knowledge.

Embracing Chaos

While mastering chaos can help you navigate through the uncertainties of life, embracing chaos can help you thrive in it.

Chaos can fuel creativity and innovation, creating opportunities for growth and expansion.

History is full of examples of people who have embraced chaos and thrived in it.

Take Steve Jobs as a business example. When he was fired from Apple in 1985, he embraced the chaos of the situation and used it to create a new company, NeXT, which eventually led to his return to Apple and the creation of iconic products like the iPhone.

Chaos can also fuel creativity in the arts. Many artists, writers, and musicians have used chaotic experiences to inspire their work.

For example, Picasso's art was deeply influenced by the chaotic world around him, including the political upheavals of his time, his own personal struggles, and the turbulent relationships he had in his life.

His art was a way of making sense of the chaos and finding meaning in them.

Chaos Creates the Masters

Chaos and uncertainty are a part of life, and learning to act with composure under them can help you navigate through the challenges they present.

If you can learn to embrace chaos, you can learn to build clarity, strength, and resilience.

Chaos creates the masters, not the other way around.

The Power Of The Keyboard

How Digital Writing Elevates Thought Leadership In The Digital as Seth Godin, Gary Vaynerchuk, Pat Flynn, and Tim Ferris, use the online platform to build businesses and demonstrate credibility. Other business leaders, who had already been successful, such as Ray Dalio, Richard Branson, and Arianna Huffington, have jumped onto the digital landscape to expand their influence.

Digital writing has been helping many people build their thought leadership competence. By producing clear, insightful, and engaging content, they can showcase their knowledge, share unique perspectives, and connect with more people.

Embracing digital writing helps business leaders and entrepreneurs pave the way for growth and continued success.

Digital writing is a powerful leverage

Leverage refers to the act of utilizing tools to maximize results.

Many leaders understand the power of leverage and use it to their advantage. Leverage can be in the form of people, money, technology, or media. In the digital age, digital writing is an excellent tool for leaders to use as leverage to maximize their influence.

When a leader wants to capitalize on an idea, they need an audience.

In the past, this was done through direct conversations, phone calls, emails, or boardroom meetings. Nowadays, leaders can use the social medium to convey their thoughts and influence their audience instantly.

Here are 5 social mediums that leaders can use to convey their message:

Twitter: for sharing insights, inspiration, wisdom, and brief thoughts

Instagram: for demonstrating ideas through graphics and video messages

LinkedIn: for sharing newsletters, articles, and blog posts

Substack: for sharing newsletters

Facebook: for sharing articles, blog posts, pictures, and infographics.

Social media make it possible for leaders to talk to many people at once.

There will be more social media competing with one another in the future. However, a thought leader understands that the foundation of their message depends on how thoughtful their writing is, and how well they can strategically distribute it through those platforms.

Demonstrate expertise

When you hear or read a golden nugget from a leader, it's likely they've worked on their pitch a thousand times.

There is hardly any idea that is welcomed by people the first time it is spoken.

Martin Luther King worked on his "I have a dream" pitch many times before delivering his famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963. The phrase "I have a dream" evolved over time as Dr. King continued to speak about his vision, first known at Rocky Mount, North Carolina on November 27, 1962.

By using digital platforms, leaders can practice and improve their pitches over and over again.

Let's use Seth Godin as an example to see how this works. Seth is an online marketing expert who has built a multimillion-dollar business online. He shares his message with the world through his blog, seths.blog, where he publishes his thoughts in small bits every day.

Seth then repurposes his small works from his blog into various types of content, including workshops, online courses, books, podcasts, and many more.

The essence of one's ideas can now become the multiplier servicing the world.

Data-Driven Writing

People don’t get results in writing not because of their skills and abilities, but because they don’t utilize the right data.

Data is not just about how many times an idea has been written in the past, how great you think it is, or how well-organized your data collection is.

In digital writing, the right data are views, comments, shares, likes, and saves. Imagine writing a message to your loved one that they shared with their friends and saved in a journal. Now imagine doing that to thousands of people.

Data helps leaders create content that people are truly interested in hearing about.

Data-driven in writing is similar to data-driven in doing business. A business can only survive if there are customers, ratings, reviews, and comments. These are called engagements.

In writing, the customer is the reader. They spend time, instead of money, to read the product - the writing. Writers who start with no skills but get lots of data, ratings, and comments will improve immediately. But writers who never receive a comment from others will hardly get their work seen.

Over and over again, digital writers become masters of the craft not because they’re lucky, but because they’re engaging with people.

Famous leaders who write online

There are plenty of leaders who are digital writers that have been very successful in writing online. They spread across different industries, and their writings spread across different platforms.

These people know their audience, understand how to add value to their audience, and use the tools available to leverage their thought leadership.

Here are some examples of famous leaders who are also digital writers and share their knowledge in what they do:

Seth Godin: Seth is a renowned marketing expert, entrepreneur, and author. He is known for his innovative ideas on marketing, leadership, and change. Seth primarily writes on his blog, Seth's Blog, and has authored numerous bestselling books. He has also written a book, "Hit Refresh," which chronicles his journey at Microsoft and shares his vision for the future of technology.

Tim Ferriss: Tim Ferriss is an entrepreneur, author, and public speaker best known for his book "The 4-Hour Workweek," which promotes the idea of lifestyle design and optimizing work efficiency. He writes on his blog, The Tim Ferriss Experiment, and hosts a popular podcast called "The Tim Ferriss Show," where he interviews successful individuals from various industries.

James Clear: James Clear is an author and productivity expert known for his work on habits, decision-making, and continuous improvement. Without action, there is no movement forward. While thinking and waiting may be tempting, taking action is always necessary.

My best day always starts with getting out of bed, writing down my goals, and hitting my daily targets. Taking action toward goals helps me maintain my motivation, as my body fuels with lots of dopamine to keep me moving forward.

When was the last time you took action on something, and what was the result?

Don’t underestimate your action toward your goals

We often overestimate our abilities and underestimate our actions.

When I was a kid, I always had confidence in my ability to play soccer better than other kids. Until I got to high school, where I met other kids who were ten times better than me. At that moment, I thought that my skills were limited. But no, those kids took more action than me prior to getting on the team. They had more hours of practice than me. I trained once a week while they trained twice a day.

Abilities don't determine your success. Lots of action does.

When you have the abilities, you often become complacent and stay back because you know your ability will back you up. However, the more ability you have, the more action you should take to maintain that ability.

Abilities don't determine your success. you can still multiply sales based on this strategy: pricing your product differently. Creating different pricing offers is a creative solution to help you expand your offerings to customers.

When I got my first job as a student tutor, my salary was around $11 per hour. I worked eight hours a week for $88 total, and that was the limit that I could earn. When I graduated from college, I still tutored other people, but this time, I had different offers for different college-level courses. I still tutored part-time for eight hours a week, but I would charge $29, $49, and $59 for different types of level courses.

Charging people at different prices for your products/services has been practiced by movie theaters, airlines, coaches, and consultants.

If you learn how to create different price offers for your services, you will always have customers to serve and a business to run.

Price your product at premium prices

You should create a premium offer for your customers from the start.

Starting with a low-cost mindset can set you up for fierce competition, and, ultimately, failure. Why offer the lowest-priced service when you can do better? Instead, focus on providing the best possible service and value to your customers.

By offering a premium service, you show your customers that you're committed to providing them with the best.

Starting with a low-cost mindset can set you up for fierce competition, and, ultimately, failure

This is how you differentiate yourself from the competition and generate specificity in your service.

Price isn’t the sole factor that pushes customers away. Your ability to solve their problem is. If you can solve a customer's problem with speed and efficiency, you will always have a business. Many entrepreneurs create more problems with their pricing than by offering a quality service.

Price your product at regular prices

Sometimes, you will have customers who cannot afford to pay for your premium service.

Offer those at a regular price. For instance, if students cannot pay $59 for an hour-long essay, I can charge $49 for a meeting with them, help them come up with an essay outline, and assist them in solidifying the introduction.

Don't mistake a regular price for a regular service.

You must always provide the best service to every customer you deal with. That means if they pay a premium price, you should provide 2x premium service. If they pay a regular price, you should provide a premium service. Never let price influence the quality of your work for people.

You must always provide the best service to every customer you deal with

A regular price service is a medium to build trust with people so that they can do premium service with you in the future.

Price your product at low prices

A low-priced product is a strategy to generate interest from new customers.

Low-priced products are most effective when sold on high-traffic platforms, such as e-commerce sites (Amazon, Spotify, App Stores, etc.). However, you should not rely solely on an e-commerce platform to build a full business. These platforms are useful for generating leads, but you need to learn to build your own empire on top of them. This means building your own platform where you can offer a variety of products and pricing options.

A low-priced product is a strategy to generate interest from new customers.

Great companies never offer you only low-price products.

For example, consider how much you spent on your first Apple product compared to your most recent purchase. Personally, I first bought an iPhone 5 for $500, but I have since bought several other Apple products at higher prices. What about Walmart? They say they have low-cost products, but sometimes we end up spending more than we need to.

Remember, e-commerce platforms are for generating leads. To build a successful business, you must learn to build upon these platforms and create higher offers for customers.

Price your product for free

A free product is another way to build interest from people.

Similar to a low-priced product, you may get more interest from people if done correctly. When you offer a free product, you can also ask for an exchange of people's email. This exchange allows you to start sending out more offers in the future to nurture your business with people.

There is no such thing as a free meal!

Get creative with your price

A startup may lack the resources to build a product line with different categories, but they never lack creativity.

Get creative with your pricing offers so that you can provide more value to different customers. This is how you generate larger interest without diluting your focus.

Ultimately, creativity is the engine for your success, even if you only have one product to offer.

Subscribe to get daily reads in your inbox

The Ultimate Sales Mindset

Master the Art of Winning Over Difficult Clients

Ricky Thai

When dealing with a difficult client, improve your attitude.

Many people underestimate the importance of their attitude when approaching sales. Although blockchain is definitely the future of finance, many startups have failed due to unsound business models, speculation, regulation, and cash flow generation. In 2022, the crypto market (cryptocurrencies are products of blockchain technologies) lost over $2 trillion, with thousands of crypto companies going under.

Hot trend businesses fail because founders are gambling with future returns instead of building a lasting entity.

FTX

FTX was one of the biggest and most recent businesses to collapse.

The company filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 11, 2022, after a surge of customer withdrawals, which caused a liquidity crunch within the business. Many of these businesses are being valued based on attention rather than rational evaluation by participants.

Successful businesses are the ones that can generate cash in the long turn

Great businesses are those that can produce a lot of utility for people, which in turn makes them willing to pay money out of their pockets for the services or products.

Cryptocurrency exchanges face significant risks due to people's behavior of getting rich quickly. They also become a platform for a lot of frenzied speculation.
