Develop passion for reading
One day in middle school, my dad brought a stack of history books home. He told me that if I didn't finish this stack by the end of the year, I wouldn't be able to go on a family vacation.
What makes reading important? Why can't I watch videos with everything explained in less than 5 minutes?

I never liked reading until they taught me something. Books, articles, and journals, often give away their wisdom at a deeper level. The authors often share a lot of what they know. You often find unique wisdom in reading much faster than by talking to the person directly.
When it comes to books, a good book makes you think and take action. A bad book makes you confused. The world is efficient, just get rid of the bad ones right away.
One of my friends loves to keep a journal. One day, he was kind enough to share some of his writing with me. After the first read, I felt like I haven't known him before. I could see the universe inside him, which was much bigger than what he usually shared.
Reading brings you closer to the truth and teaches you more about the world. You hear stories that aren't being told or can't be told in person.
Stories being told aren’t the same as stories being written.
To know a subject, listen to what the author says. To understand the subject, read the author’s words.
