It was a good fire
It was a Friday night and a friend of mine invited me to a party.
When we got there, Rob greeted us with his charismatic excitement and gave me a cold bottle. I was able to make new friends. Jean, Jim, John, and a lot more people. They're wonderful.
Jean and Jim used to own a business downtown. The business made testing devices for wood and lumber, and they have clients from all over the world. I learned from them that cash flow is one of the most important things in business. You cannot grow without cash flow. I also learned that when you sell a business, sell the asset but keep the real estate because it will bring you and your family cash flow forever.
The party felt really good. There wasn't any light at all. The only thing that stood out was the bonfire in the middle.
Jean kept throwing oaks and maple to keep the fire up. Rob kept handing me the beer.
When I got home after the party, my clothes still carried the smell of the wood smoke.
It was a good fire.
