"Let the river flow"
It was about 6 p.m., and I had just finished my work and headed home.
On the way out of the building, I ran into Norman.
Norman is our superhero because he keeps the building clean, the trash empty, and the people happy.
Norman is always the most energetic person I've ever met after 6 p.m.
As usual, Norman shares a story about his Colombian friend, who graduated 2 years ago but struggled to find a job in the State because nobody is hiring international students. This is probably the 1,000th time he has told me this story.
But this time, Norman told me that his friend just got hired by a company in Columbia where he could stay close to his family and friends. He is happy, grateful, and ready to build his career.
I wanted to quote Norman in the end when we said goodbye: "Sometimes, things that didn't work out for you may have been the best thing to happen. Let the river flow."
