What is your trigger?
A friend of mine failed his second test. Fear of failure crept in, but he didn't give up.
He did something different this time. He drew his hand holding the driver's license and put it on the wall. He said it's a “trigger” to remind him of the end stage and eliminate the fear. On the third attempt, he did pass the test.
Emotions can be tricky. They either force us to do something we never thought we could do or shut us down before the occasion, like roller coasters.
A clear image is different. It gives us a picture of what we can accomplish. It cancels the distraction between the now and the later. It's a trigger to help us focus on our goals.
